Former WWE Wrestler Thinks Run Would've Been Different With Triple H In Charge

"I would do anything for him. I'd run through a wall."

Eric Young thinks his run in WWE would've been a bit different had Triple H been in charge during his stint on the main roster.

Whilst plying his trade on The Game's version of NXT from 2016 to 2018, Young led the highly popular Sanity stable and found himself at the centre of some of the brand's top storylines before being called up to the main roster in April 2018. In the end, though, much like a number of other one-time NXT darlings, Sanity and Young in particular soon found themselves getting lost in the shuffle. And sure enough, Young was let go by the company in 2020.

And while the now-Impact man is seemingly in a good place currently, once again working within a promotion he's called home for the majority of his career, Eric does still feel that there could've been a future for him in WWE had The Cerebral Assassin been steering the main roster creative ship at the time of his aforementioned call-up.

When discussing taking on the role of a WWE producer due to not being used on TV and as a favour to Trips, Young would confess to Jim Alexander of Reel Talker (via Fightful):

"The producing, that was a favor to HHH. I wasn't being used, I was being paid full-time so he said I think you'd be good at it, what do you think about trying it out? Well, I'm there anyway so I might as well. (If Triple H had control at the time) Things would have been way different for me. I would do anything for him (HHH). I'd run through a wall. Help him hide a dead body (laughs), whatever he asked me to do. I respect him that much,"

Young is simply the latest star to salute The Game in the wake of him stepping into the role of head of WWE creative, with AEW's Bobby Fish also going as far as to state "I would go to war for him seven days a week" recently.
