You know that over in Japan, Gedo has been seriously contemplating going ahead with Okada-Omega V for the G1 Climax finals. In all likelihood, it's probably too soon to do the sequel to Dominion's match-of-a-lifetime contender, but with the two of them still alive in their respective blocks, the temptation must be great.

Many people had their doubts as to whether or not Kazuchika Okada and Kenny Omega would be able to top their 2017 trilogy at Dominion, and yet, miraculously, they were able to break Dave Meltzer's scale by another star. The story was perfect, as Okada, who was made nigh invincible throughout his record-breaking title reign, forced Omega to dig into the very depths of himself to finally claim his prize as IWGP Heavyweight Champion.

Should they go into the final, the script would now be flipped. Okada has had a rough go of the G1, losing his first two matches and not seeming like his old self. Save for his loss to Tomohiro Ishii, Omega's been booked like an absolute worldbeater. For the first time in their rivalry, Okada would be the underdog.

Again, it may seem too soon, but at some point, Okada and Omega will have to clash once more, and what better time than the G1 finals?
