GLOW Season 2 Review: 7 Ups And 1 Down

4. The Improved In-Ring Action

Speaking of the wrestling, it's definitely taken up a notch this year. The first season was very game in this department, but it was all a little basic, partly down to the fact the cast of the show-within-a-show were only just starting out.

Now that they've been doing it a little while and things are getting bigger, their skillset has improved to reflect that. It's not and is never going to be a proper wrestling series, but its commitment to showcasing some increasingly complex manoeuvres is admirable, and helps to really sell this side of the series.

It's especially necessary when there's a greater focus on showing us the in-ring action, and means that aside from the great character work the wrestling itself is genuinely fun to watch.
