And again, no spoilers here, but if GLOW does indeed get renewed by Netflix for a fourth season, there's quite the compelling hook indeed for another batch of ten episodes.

Ruth, Debbie and Sam in particular are left in intriguing and transformative places which present some interesting challenges from a writing perspective, but if capitalised upon could make season four the most dynamic and free-wheeling one yet.

But again, it's worth reiterating that if this ends up being all she wrote for GLOW, it's a very respectable juncture at which to say farewell. The door is left open without question, though not wide enough that a "shock" cancellation would make season three's ending feel overly abrupt or frustrating.

As ever, we'll have to wait and see, but clearly, the roadmap is there for more of the story to be told - it just depends on Netflix and their rather bizarre decision-making process.
