Cody's Double or Nothing opponent has been unveiled - and it's somebody he is intimately familiar with.

After months of speculation surrounding his WWE future, AEW last night published a video revealing Dustin Rhodes as their latest signing. Cody's brother spoke about how proud he is of his sibling's achievements, but that despite the love they share, he nevertheless wants to beat him up and that come 25 May's Double or Nothing.

Dustin, who will be familiar to most wrestling fans as the Oscar statuette sprung to life Goldust, painted half of his face black and red, not in reference to Star Wars baddie Darth Maul, but to represent 'life' and 'death' respectively.

Before the episode concluded, Dustin teased: "One last ride... or is it?"

Rhodes issued a strongly worded denial of reports circulating last month that he had left long-term employers WWE. The former Intercontinental champion, who turned 50 earlier this month, dismissed the online talk as "bullsh*t".

Well he would, wouldn't he.

All Elite Wrestling's Double or Nothing is scheduled for 25 May from Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena. In addition to Cody vs. Dustin, Kenny Omega will take on Chris Jericho in a re-run of their Wrestle Kingdom 12 encounter, and 'Hangman' Page meets Pac.

He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
