GUNTHER Shoots Down WWE Rumours On Imperium
The record-breaking WWE Intercontinental Champ talks Imperium's future.
GUNTHER has revealed there are currently no plans to add a female member to Imperium's ranks. The record-breaking Intercontinental Champion is perfectly happy with the way things are, and doesn't think adding another member (male or female) would be a good idea unless there's a "real connection".
The Imperium leader told the Battleground podcast that he's known both Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci since around "2009 or 2010". They've travelled the world together, and are currently enjoying the fruits of that labour in WWE. So, it wouldn't sit right with GUNTHER to start adding members into the faction just to bolster numbers.
He's definitely against going down that path to "fill those spots".
It's clear that GUNTHER is real-life friends with Kaiser and Vinci away from the ring, and that goes a long way with him. Their friendship adds a legitimacy to the on-screen act that the reigning IC Champ would find hard to replicate or force with someone he didn't properly know.
These rumours have been doing the rounds for a while. Many fans have wondered aloud whether Imperium might add a female wrestler to the mix. Apparently, that isn't on the cards.
