GUNTHER: WWE Great Randy Orton Has Wasted His Potential
Reigning WWE World Champ GUNTHER goes in two-footed on Randy Orton's history.
GUNTHER has called out Randy Orton for some of the "bad decisions" he's made in the past, and claims his Bash In Berlin opponent has "wasted a lot of potential". Obviously, there's more than a splash of kayfabe to the reigning WWE World Champ's words here, but it's good fun.
The new champion told the Miami Herald that Randy's career "is undeniable". However, he also reckons Orton was "destined to be the greatest of all time" until several poor choices tarnished some of his legacy. Then, GUNTHER went on to say that his rival has "underachieved for the talent he has".
Ouch.
Again, this is all in good spirits ahead of the pair's title clash in Germany on 31 August. GUNTHER knows exactly what he's doing here, and it wouldn't be a surprise at all if Orton fired back in the media himself. There's a rebuttal coming for this, either on-screen or during interviews.
The reigning champ added that he thinks he's "over-exceeded in a lot of ways", but says "Randy is the opposite". All of this is adding storyline fuel to the fire for what should be a scorching title bout in Berlin later this month.
