Hacksaw Jim Duggan Surprise Entrant in WWE Royal Rumble?

Will the first ever winner of the Royal Rumble compete in this year's event?

Hacksaw Jim Duggan has cancelled an Indy wrestling gig he had scheduled for Sunday in Louisiana, leading to speculation that he will be one of the surprise entrants in the 30-man Royal Rumble main event on Sunday. PWInsider.com certainly believe Duggan's pulling out of the event "for reasons he can't divulge at this time" is because he is going to be a participant. We had heard a few days ago that WWE officials were polling people backstage on what veteran superstars they would most like to see in the surprise slots at the Rumble and Duggan, who was the first ever Royal Rumble winner back in 1988, was an obvious choice. 58 year old Hacksaw has made a surprise appearance at the Rumble before. Back in 2009 when he entered at #29 and setting a record for the most years between Rumble match appearances ever. He was eliminated from the match by The Big Show.
