Dwayne Johnson's HBO show Ballers has been picked up for a second season, the network announced. The show has aired three episodes so far and the reception to it has been very good, so HBO announced it would be back for another season. The charismatic and hugely talented Dwayne Johnson, along with the rest of the Ballers cast, has truly struck a chord with the HBO audience, said HBO original programming chief Michael Lombardo. We are thrilled with the overwhelming response the series has received and look forward to another exciting season. It was noted by Variety that Ballers is the most-watched episode of a HBO comedy series since 2009, with multi-platform plays totaling 8.9 million viewers to date. There were also another 5.6 million views from the decision to make the pilot available via Johnsons Facebook page. In the show, Johnson plays a former football player who is taking on a new career as a financial manager to athletes. It's a pretty good show that is a comedy with drama as well. Johnson posted a message on Instagram about the news. https://instagram.com/p/49rQY7Ih_m/ As he mentioned, the show is produced by Johnson's production company Seven Bucks Productions, so he's got a lot more invested in it than just being the star. Regarding his wrestling career, the expectation is that he'll be in the ring at WrestleMania 32 although nothing official has been announced. He has a very busy schedule, but a potential match with Triple H with Ronda Rousey involved is something he appears to be interested in. From WWE's perspective, the more success he has outside of wrestling is bigger for them because his star continues to shine bright and if he's willing to come back to wrestle again they should welcome it.
