Here's What Happened After Last Night's WWE Raw Went Off-Air

WWE changed the advertised dark match main event following Monday's Raw.

New Day members Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods wrestled The Miz and John Morrison in a post-show dark match main event after Monday's WWE Raw went off the air.

The babyfaces reportedly received a booming response from the San Antonio crowd - fans who stuck around to watch the match posted results on Twitter, and nobody seemed particularly disappointed that WWE had changed the bout they'd originally advertised.

Kofi and Xavier were initially supposed to work Bobby Lashley and MVP in tag-team action. They'd been doing that match on the house show loop, but WWE decided to toss Miz and Morrison in as heel foil for New Day instead.

Neither Kingston nor Woods have wrestled on TV this month. Kofi's latest televised match was a loss to Lashley at Money In The Bank on 18 July, and Xavier last worked in front of the cameras (also against the reigning WWE Champ) on Raw's 12 July episode.

The team aren't in the Raw Tag-Team Title hunt right now, so WWE maybe believes they're better off away from screens. Saying that, the pair did pop up during a backstage promo skit Miz and JoMo worked. Perhaps the company will feud both teams soon?
