Hotly-topped Japanese prospect Jiro Kuroshio might be en route to NXT, per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Dave Meltzer writes:

"The strong belief within the industry is that Jiro Kuroshio, who is one of the better Japanese wrestlers around, will be coming into NXT shortly. As noted here before, Kuroshio publicly said he would be moving to the U.S. and leaving Japan, and he was part of a recent WWE tryout camp in Shanghai."

That Kuroshio has generated buzz in the Japanese industry is itself a testament to his star potential.

And the word 'star' seems key here; in addition to a very acclaimed level in-ring ability, Kuroshio is equally known for his charisma and sense of showmanship - of the sort that transcends the language barrier that may otherwise cap his progress in North America. Kuroshio is the sort of performer that will get over before he steps through the ropes; his is a magnetic presence, and his celebrated for his extravagant ring attire and entrances.

NXT, writing editorially, seems a good fit for him. The format of the two-hour show is very light on promos thus far, and the brand has (so far) retained a 1M+ U.S. audience on the strength of the in-ring product.
