How Asuka Has Become WWE's Highlight In The Empty Arena Era

1. The Hardest Working Person In Show Business

Asuka worked on Main Event. Main Event! The undisputed C-show in WWE and only accessible through a subscription to Hulu (or YouTube channels of dubious legality). Not only that, she did it in front of an empty crowd!

Give yourself that round of applause, Empress. You earned it.

On a more serious note, Asuka's Main Event appearance shows why she hasn't just been the highlight of WWE on-camera, but off it as well. No other star has matched her work ethic since the Empty Arena era began. Since that first SmackDown at the performance centre she's the only member of the roster to have appeared on all three TV shows, the only superstar to have performed on both RAW and SmackDown and, at time of writing, she has been in the opening match for every show since 'Mania (which she also opened).

Simply put, Asuka has been the outstanding performer in WWE since the lockdown hit. No other star has worked as hard as she has and every minute she has appeared on screen she has done her best to entertain us at home, all while staying true to her heel character. Asuka has been an example to professional wrestlers and sports entertainers everywhere, a joy to watch, and will hopefully continue to be a television mainstay long after the empty arenas are full again.
