How Jim Ross Really Feels About Being Moved To AEW Rampage

Here's what JR thinks of Tony Khan's call to move him from Dynamite to Rampage.

AEW announcer and all-round broadcasting legend Jim Ross is looking forward to working on Rampage full-time.

JR told fans tuning into his 'Grilling JR' podcast that he has zero problems with Tony Khan deciding to move him from the Dynamite flagship on Wednesdays to Rampage on Friday nights. In fact, Ross loves the chance to come full circle with his career by working on a one-hour weekly.

That's how Jim cut his teeth as a commentator, and it looks like that's how he'll finish his iconic run in the end. There's something heartwarming about that for both JR and his longtime fans.

There's also another reason why Tony did what he did: Khan wants to try and bolster ratings for Rampage, and reasoned that shifting JR onto the show exclusively would draw attention from older viewers who recall his glory days in WWE.

Again, that's something Ross is fine with. He understands his role in 2022, and says he really enjoys working alongside both Excalibur and old pal Tony Schiavone on Rampage. This is the best use of the legend right now.
