How Scott D’Amore And Don Callis Saved IMPACT Wrestling

That's precisely why Sunday's Rebellion pay-per-view is so important.

You need only take one glimpse at the main event for the evening to understand why. Kenny Omega, AEW's reigning World Champion, will challenge IMPACT's World Champion Rich Swann in a legitimately history-making contest. A minor gripe must be stated for AEW's lack of promotion towards this match, however, it was never about promoting the Tony Khan-helmed promotion. This has forever been about furthering IMPACT Wrestling's reputation. This couldn't have been done without Don Callis

It's not just the AEW relationship that IMPACT have going for themselves. As was revealed at the conclusion to IMPACT's February No Surrender special on IMPACT Plus (another addition made during D'Amore and Callis' tenure, by the way), New Japan Pro Wrestling are once more on speaking terms with IMPACT. It's resulted in the FinJuice combination of David Finlay and Juice Robinson being the current IMPACT World Tag Team Champions, something that would have previously been unthinkable. Even typing that, your writer feels the most intense amount of goosebumps simply because the past history of IMPACT and New Japan is well-known. This couldn't have been done without Scott D'Amore.

Together, Scott D'Amore and Don Callis have brought IMPACT back from under the rubble, and made it worthwhile again.
