To follow up on the earlier story of Vince McMahon being absent from last night’s WWE Royal Rumble PPV, now comes word on how McMahon still had influence on what went down during this year’s edition of the January spectacular.

As per Ringside News, Vince was said to have been “very involved” throughout the entire day yesterday. VKM was regularly on the phone to WWE higher-ups across Sunday, including during the entirety of the PPV.

Running the show in McMahon’s absence were Kevin Dunn, Bruce Prichard and Triple H, and there were separate productions team for the two over-the-top Rumble matches.

For the women’s match won by Bianca Belair, it was Tyson Kidd, Adam Pearce, Pat Buck and Chris Park (aka Abyss) who put the bout together. On the men’s side of things, that Rumble bout was developed by Jamie Noble, Jason Jordan and Shane McMahon – with Edge emerging victorious in that contest.

There’s no word on whether Vince McMahon will be at tonight’s Raw show, with McMahon having been absent from the last Raw and SmackDown episodes due to the passing of his brother Rod.
