How Vince McMahon Will React To ROH Selling Out MSG
Much of this can be attributed to Triple H. A divisive figure he may be, but ‘The Game’ has always had his ear to the ground of what’s going on outside his father-in-law’s company. He has forged a new identity as the architect of WWE’s bold new future, and with Hunter expected to take the reins when Vince finally rides into the sunset, his policy will endure for years to come.
One of Triple H’s latest signings, Keith Lee, debuted on this week’s episode of NXT. At 6’3”, 332lbs, he’s a freak athlete who moves like a cruiserweight. More than that, though: ‘The Limitless One’ is a star. He carries himself with poise, assuredness, and just the right amount of cockiness, giving him a presence - an aura - that can’t be taught.
Lee is destined for the stratosphere. He’ll become a major asset if WWE let him, and although certain promotions are already feeling his loss, the scene is still brimming with talent.
As soon as tickets went on sale, it was clear there was a bigger clamour for the G1 Supercard than TakeOver. Triple H’s buzz-worthy “super indie” has been out-buzzed by the competition, and it’s all because the ticket-buying public would rather see Kenny Omega, Cody, and The Young Bucks.
WWE have been left red-faced, and if you thought their past few years of talent acquisition were aggressive, you’ve seen nothing yet.
