The Money In The Bank pay-per-view quickly became a favourite amongst fans after its inception as an annual event in 2010. It is arguably the biggest show of the year outside the ‘Big 4’.
Many memorable moments have occurred at MITB and the winner, or winners, of the ladder matches have often shaped other significant events in the relevant calendar year. This year’s event, which will air this Sunday, looks set to be memorable as the male and female Money In The Bank participants will compete simultaneously to ‘climb the corporate ladder’. The wrestlers involved will begin on the ground floor of WWE’s headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut and race to the roof of the building to locate the briefcase.
Yeah, that’s a thing that’s going to happen.
As for last year’s event, the lasting image will be of young, underdog rookie, Brock Lesnar holding the briefcase aloft as he finally earned himself a shot at a World Championship.
