How WWE Can Finally Kill The Post-WrestleMania Curse

Both the red show's midcard and what remains of the general tag team section of WWE's roster also need a bit of a rethink, or just any thought at all, as the latest WrestleMania season comes to a close.

Now sure, Austin Theory does now find himself on the verge of the biggest moment of his career as he looks set to take on Hollywood Cena at the latest two-night extravaganza. But even a high-profile battle against the balding Face that Runs the Place doesn't guarantee the vanilla chosen one will kick on in the aftermath.

What could help transform Theory and the belt he's carrying over his shoulder into things worth caring about in the cursed months to come, though, is the midcard he's reigning over actually becoming a legitimately competitive and enthralling collection of driven, focused, challengers.

Follow through on the explosive and eye-catching work put into making Bronson Reed look like a genuinely terrifying disruptor at Elimination Chamber. For the love of all things wrestling, let Johnny just do that! And maybe it's time to finally just pull the Montez Ford singles star trigger and actually commit to the trademark daring post-Mania push for a change.

The unprecedented attention being sent the direction of the Undisputed tag titles currently, albeit mostly due to them being nestled in the thick of The Uso and Owens/Zayn drama, also offers one hell of an opportunity to finally make these long worthless trophies into something potentially quite prestigious again.

The Game has already successfully rehabilitated an Intercontinental strap that once looked beyond repair. He's also proven down in NXT that he possesses the ability to create a simply fascinating duos division worthy of main eventing a PLE. And it's that sort of competitive, story-driven tag and mid-card attention which could finally help provide the foundations for a summer that could threaten to be bearable or even, dare I say it, entertaining!

But that alone still may not be enough to convince folks that those cursed Mania hangover days are over...
