How WWE Should Book Sasha Banks When (Or If) She Returns To The Ring

Several news outlets reported that Sasha and Bayley were promised a long run with the tag team titles in order to give them legitimacy. When they were informed that they would drop the titles just two months into their reign, they were reportedly blindsided and upset. After years of not having credible title reigns, as well as a scrapped storyline with Bayley, this was the final straw that broke the camel's back, causing Sasha to allegedly walk out on WWE in frustration and protest.

This leaves us going back to the initial question: If Sasha does return, how should WWE book her going forward? As several reports have indicated, Banks is slated to return sometime this summer. If that is indeed the case, she must return to the roots that she planted in NXT. She must eventually become the biggest female heel in WWE. When she finally returns to WWE television, Sasha should realign herself with Bayley. They should go back to teaming again, but only temporarily, giving Bayley the false sense of security that she has her best friend and tag team partner back.

Ultimately, Sasha should turn on her best friend, becoming the full-fledged heel that she has yet to be since coming to the main roster. The feud between the two that was scrapped in 2018 should definitely be revisited shortly after Sasha makes her return. Bayley is currently on a "redemption tour" of sorts at the moment, as the company is focused on rebuilding her character that was essentially destroyed a few years ago. Ideally, Sasha would come in and become an obstacle in Bayley's path, sending her back down to the "ultimate underdog" status, the sweet spot for Bayley's persona.
