After witnessing one of his closest pals Drew McIntyre win the big one at WrestleMania 36 and sharing a lovely moment with the new WWE Champion on The Bump just over a week ago, Heath Slater was also added to the list of abrupt WWE releases on April 15.
Slater had been under contract with the company for 16 years and his immediate statement on Twitter suggested that he still hadn't completely come to terms with his exit.
Instead of offering a knee-jerk response, Slater simply thanked everyone for their 'kind words and support during this time'.
