How WWE's Doudrop Stole Vince McMahon's Heart

Doudrop had Vince McMahon on her side from their very first meeting backstage.

Almost the entire wrestling fanbase said something to the effect of, "They're calling her what?!' when news leaked that WWE had changed Piper Niven's name to Doudrop this past June. Few could believe it, and the Scot herself was hardly shy about admitting she wasn't sure on the switch either.

Her relationship with the boss is just fine though.

Doudrop told Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp that she got on Vince McMahon's good side straight away by...being rather bubbly and cheeky. McMahon approached her backstage and said, "Lovely to meet you. We’re gonna have a lot of fun with your character!".

Replying, Doudrop said, "Oh! I consider myself a professional play fighter, so I’m all about fun". Enjoying the banter, Vince looked around him and said, "This kid!". He liked the former NXT UK star's spirit instantly, and that has helped Doudrop's cause behind the scenes in WWE.

She recognises the importance of building up a rapport with McMahon whenever they bump into one another behind the curtain. It's also interesting that Doudrop's bubbly character is an extension of her own personality.

That's a personality the Vin-man liked within minutes.
