With recent reports of Kenny Omega dealing with, amongst other things, some serious shoulder issues, it looks as if the Best Bout Machine is indeed set for a spell on the sidelines.
As per PWInsider, Omega may be out of action for an extended period of time as he will likely require shoulder surgery.
Previously, the now former AEW World Champion was due to be assessed today, with AEW officials looking to get a full and clear update on Omega's situation by the end of the week.

It's no secret that Kenny has been dealing with several nagging injury issues for a while now, with him even pretty banged up with AEW launched in 2019. Since then, the one-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion has been a consistently featured player on AEW programming despite his injuries.
It was reported earlier in the week that, regardless of his ailments, Omega was determined to see through his storyline with 'Hangman' Adam Page; a storyline that culminated (for now?) with Page dethroning his former partner to become the new AEW World Champ at last weekend's Full Gear PPV.

As it stands, Kenny Omega is due to defend the AAA Mega Title against El Hijo del Vikingo at TripleMania Regia II on 4 December. Whether than match still takes place remains to be seen, with, as mentioned, clarification on Omega's status expected later this week.
