HUGE Backstage Update On Brock Lesnar's WWE Return

Things finally appear to be moving in a positive direction for Brock Lesnar's WWE return.

WWE hopes to have Brock Lesnar back in the company imminently.

Fightful Select's sources believe that company officials have been in talks with the former Universal and WWE Champion over a potential comeback, with WWE's desire for a Brock return described as a "poorly kept secret."

The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer reported last week that no deal was in place for Lesnar to return to WWE in the immediate future. This is in line with an update to the original Fightful report, which states that while WWE want Brock back, sources close to the former UFC Heavyweight Champion don't believe there has been much movement on the situation.

Lesnar has been off WWE television since the beginning of the pandemic. He last wrestled at WrestleMania 36, dropping the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre, and has sat out ever since, his WWE contract expiring in the process.

Brock's merchandise being pulled from WWE's online store for a brief period of time last year prompted intense speculation on his future, though re-signing with Vince McMahon's promotion has always looked like his likeliest outcome.

Lesnar was recently ruled out of a comeback at SummerSlam 2021, though that situation may have changed.
