Huge Betrayal On AEW Dynamite - Multiple Turns Involved!

One of AEW's greatest unions came to a shocking end at Fight for the Fallen.

Team Taz was shot to pieces on last night's special Fight for the Fallen episode of AEW Dynamite, with Powerhouse Hobbs turning on partner Ricky Starks.

Starks technically wrestled twice on the show. Triumphing over Danhausen in an advertised FTW World Championship defence, he grabbed a microphone, issuing an open challenge. This was answered by stablemate Hook, who defeated 'Absolute' but fist-bumped him afterwards.

This suggested that if nothing else, the Hook/Starks friendship remains intact. Nonetheless, Hobbs stuck a knife in Team Taz's collective backs during Ricky's impassioned post-match promo, clobbering Starks mid-sentence before putting him down with a powerslam. Taz was shocked on commentary, putting the split over huge.

Hook did not re-emerge for this. As such, Team Taz's future is in question - though perhaps the new FTW Champion and Starks will proceed as babyfaces. Ricky's fired-up promo felt like a face turn in itself, with Hobbs' betrayal rubber-stamping it.

Hobbs and Starks teased a split last week, with Ricky flashing Powerhouse an uncertain look during their latest, greatest promo on Road to Fyter Fest. Now, after multiple failed attempts at becoming World Tag Team Champions, the deed is done.
