Could this legend be in action at this year's Showcase of the Immortals?

Having been out of action since May of last year, it appears that Randy Orton could well be gearing up for a return to the ring.

As picked up on by WrestlingNews.co, wrestling bootmaker Jose G Sanz noted how Orton has contacted him to make some new boots ahead of the Viper's return.

Randy last wrestled on the 20 May 2022 edition of SmackDown, where he and Matt Riddle lost the SmackDown Tag Team Titles to the Usos in a unification bout which also had Jimmy and Jey's Raw Tag Team Championships on the line.

At one point, Orton was believed to be pencilled in to face Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at last year's SummerSlam, though Randal Keith was instead written off TV after a Bloodline beatdown.

In reality, Orton had to take time away from the squared circle to deal with some major back issues. Reports in October noted how WWE were extremely worried about the 42-year-old's condition, and just last month it was detailed how the RKBro man's career very nearly came to an end due to the severity of this situation.

Of course, this latest development that Randy Orton has reached out to have new boots made, could be something or could be nothing where it pertains to the 14-time World Champion soon returning to in-ring action. Many have already speculated that Randy will return in time for WrestleMania 39 or possibly the Raw after 'Mania, though having new boots made may just be a case of the former Evolution member being prepared for if and when he's cleared to compete.
