Hulk Hogan's 26 Losses - From Cleanest To Screwiest

14. Monday Nitro - Ric Flair

Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair had a phenomenal rivalry right up until they actually wrestled. As the perennial champions of the NWA and WWF, they vied for the title of premier wrestler of the 1980's. By the time the match actually happened, it was the 90's, and WCW was so stoked about signing Hogan that they gave him full creative control of his character and booking.

To give you an idea of how Hogan conceived their rivalry, he defeated Flair for the title in his very first WCW match, then beat him again two months later to retire Flair so he could main event Starrcade with a REAL star. You know, like Brutus Beefcake.

Flair didn't defeat Hogan until January of 1996 on an episode of Nitro. It wasn't a pretty win, either; Flair fell victim to the dreaded Hulk Up, and only survived the Big Leg because Jimmy Hart hopped on the apron and hugged the referee. This allowed Arn Anderson to run in, but Hogan quickly tossed him as well.

Undeterred, Hart and Anderson teamed up to steal Ms. Elizabeth's shoe and pass it to Flair, who jammed it in Hogan's eye for the three. Naturally, Hogan would return later in the show (with an eyepatch!) to beat up all the heels at once.

Rating: Dirtiest in the Game
