Billie Kay and Peyton Royce have only been part of WWE's main roster for a couple of months, but WWE already have big plans for the SmackDown duo.

This is according to WrestlingNews.co, who write that The IIconics' merchandise is currently shifting at a rate far beyond expectations, and that the company will look to cash in on this by handing the tandem a major push.

The IIconics currently have just a single t-shirt, an art print, and a framed photograph for sale in the WWE Shop. They've already been established as nuisances in the SD women's division, but have gained little traction between the ropes, amassing just one win between them. Now, that could all be about to change.

As per the write-up, WWE officials see Kay and Royce as an updated version of LayCool, who were considered co-Divas Champions for a spell in 2010.

The IIconics both signed with WWE in 2015, and were named NXT's Breakout Of The Year in 2016. They were on developmental TV consistently until late 2017, before Royce appeared in the WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal ahead of her and Kay's SmackDown debut two days later.
