Ex-WWE man Vladimir Kozlov has signed on to lay down commentary for IMPACT Wrestling events.

The former wrestler, who has veered off into acting and currently looks like a mini-boss from Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto series (credit: Simon Miller), will put down Russian commentary for the promotion via RUTUBE; for context, RUTUBE is the largest video-sharing platform in Russia, so this is a pretty big deal for ol' Vlad.

Kozlov will begin his new venture by providing comms for IMPACT's recent Rebellion 2021 pay-per-view. It's unclear from RUTUBE's official press release whether or not he'll only do colour on the bigger events - it's possible that Vladimir will also provide a soundtrack for IMPACT's weekly output too.

Kozlov never quite reached the top in WWE during a five-year stay in the company. He's best-remembered for forming a quirky comedy tag-team with walking clown Santino Marella between 2010-2011. That was arguably the first 'breakout' moment for Vladimir as a performer fans actually cared about.

Now, he'll lend his commentary talents to RUTUBE and IMPACT. Perhaps WWE will come calling for international announcing someday too. You never know.
