Impact Wrestling Rebellion 2021: 8 Predicted Matches Following Sacrifice
6. Dog Collar Match: Sami Callihan Vs. Trey Miguel
Surprisingly, the story arc between Sami Callihan and Trey Miguel resulted in them having a singles match on last Tuesday's episode of Impact. Callihan was victorious cleanly enough, however, that can't be the end of this. Weeks and weeks of build for a random match on free-to-air television?
Something's up.
There's going to be a rematch at Rebellion, and it's going to feature some sort of stipulation attached to it. It's already been built up too much for it to be something as lame as a basic No Disqualifications Match, but it's nowhere near the level it needs to be at to warrant something like a Monster's Ball Match.
Instead, a Dog Collar Match should do. It's a stipulation we've rarely seen in Impact Wrestling so it's fresh to fans, the two guys involved will no doubt be full of creative ideas surrounding the dog collar itself, and it's a stipulation that still has a place in modern wrestling.
The Dog Collar Match for the AEW TNT Championship between Cody Rhodes and the late Mr. Brodie Lee from last October was legitimately one of the stipulation's greatest offerings. Callihan vs. Miguel will never compare to the magnitude of a match like Rhodes vs. Lee, however, it'll still bang.
