Impact Wrestling Rebellion 2021: 8 Predicted Matches Following Sacrifice
1. X Division Championship Ultimate X Match: Ace Austin (c) Vs. TJP Vs. Chris Bey Vs. Josh Alexander
Realistically speaking, Impact should be able to fit the Ultimate X structure into their current home at Nashville's Skyway Studios. If you remember correctly, we were slated to have an Ultimate X Match at last year's TNA throwback show before the global b*stard ruined those plans, so why not bring the match to Rebellion instead?
The main reason for this being the added stipulation as opposed to a generic four-way contest is because of that reason; there are already four guys fully involved in the title picture right now.
Ace Austin, as the defending champion, is being chased by Josh Alexander, Chris Bey, and current number one contender TJP. The former Manik will challenge 'The Inevitable' tonight, but it doesn't sit well with Alexander and Bey. It only makes sense to have them all involved in the same match come 24 April.
To think we haven't seen an Ultimate X Match since April 2019's United We Stand special - involving Johnny Impact, Pat Buck, Ace Austin, Dante Fox, and Jake Crist, for those wondering - is mind-blowing. It's arguably the greatest match stipulation in Impact Wrestling's storied history.
If Impact want a successful pay-per-view, they need to have a banger of an X Division Championship match. The Ultimate X stipulation would merely be an added bonus.
