IMPACT Wrestling Rebellion 2021: 8 Things That Must Happen

1. IMPACT And AEW's Next Step Is Revealed

What could realistically be next for IMPACT Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling's working relationship post-Rebellion?

We've already had Kenny Omega appearing on IMPACT programming. We've already had The Good Brothers - then the IMPACT World Tag Team Champions - debut on AEW programming, since becoming aligned with Omega, The Young Bucks, and co. By Sunday, we'll have Kenny as the IMPACT World Champion most likely. A clear, direct path isn't known for what comes after Rebellion.

That's why Kenny Omega, as the new World Champion, should issue an open challenge for anyone to challenge him for the title on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite episode. Who accepts it? An IMPACT wrestler.

Yes, there's something special about two AEW wrestlers competing over the IMPACT title, but it doesn't mean as much if it's being held on an AEW-promoted event. By having an IMPACT wrestler go over to AEW, though, you're getting more eyes on that specific talent, on the IMPACT World Championship, and on IMPACT Wrestling as a whole.

As far as who the talent is, someone like Eddie Edwards, Trey Miguel, or the - by then -former champion Rich Swann seems most likely. All three guys are die-hards within IMPACT, willing to do whatever to put IMPACT on the map.

The relationship between the companies needs to follow up with a bang immediately after the pay-per-view.
