Paradigm Pro Wrestling have been forced to issue a public apology following a shocking incident in which one wrestler pulled a knife on another during their Jeffersonville, Indiana show on 25 October.

Cole Radrick was in the ring, cutting a promo, when roster-mate Hy Zaya hit the ring with the weapon. None of this was scripted.

"I had a knife pulled on my and held to my neck in the ring, mid-promo," Radrick tweeted yesterday. "I had no prior knowledge or arrival by a wrestler that was intoxicated and under the influence," he added, claiming that he'd been told "sh*t would get rough" if he didn't go along with it.

Paradigm Pro have since issued a lengthy statement and apology on the matter. In it, they claim that the segment was supposed to initiate a "passing of the torch" storyline between Radrick and Zaya, but conceded that they didn't know the wrestler's mental state at the time and won't be using him on any future events. On top of this, the group claim they'll soon make "internal changes to prevent matters such as this from occurring again."

It doesn't look like any footage of the incident exists at the moment.
