With an injury to Liv Morgan having forced Liv and Raquel Rodriguez to vacate the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships, there's now an update on Morgan's current situation.

Speaking on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez noted how the injury keeping Liv out of action at present is a shoulder issue, and that this injury may require surgery.

In addition to this, Alvarez and co-host Dave Meltzer discussed how WWE plans to have a four-way contest to crown new Women's Tag Team Champions. As per the Observer duo, said contest will see feature Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler, Sonya Green & Chelsea Green, Bayley & Dakota Sky, and Raquel Rodriguez and a mystery partner.

There's no word on how long Liv Morgan is expected to be out of action for, though WWE clearly thought the issue to be serious enough to strip Liv and Rodriquez off the Women's Tag Team Titles.

Elsewhere, Damage CTRL's Dakota Kai is another member of WWE's women's roster who's dealing with an injury, and there have been recent rumblings that Kai's issues could be more serious than those that have put Liv Morgan on the shelf.
