Injury Update On NXT's Mia Yim After Horror Ladder Bump

The former NXT Women's Title contender suffered for her art on Wednesday.

WWE's Mia Yim took a couple of (very) sore ones on this week's episode of NXT, first busting her nose open when Io Shirai springboard dropkicked a ladder into her face, then taking an awful, back-first bump from atop one ladder onto another on the outside following NXT UK Women's Champion Kay Lee Ray's interference.

The brand's latest Injury Update video covered Yim's condition, noting that she will be seen by a plastic surgeon after suffering a nasal fracture on the first bump. The second, meanwhile, led to what medics believe are rib fractures, with Mia sent for X-rays and her status considered day-to-day.

Yim wasn't the only wrestler to get hurt on NXT, with Aliyah suffering a nasal fracture of her own (as well as potential orbital floor damage) while working Xia Li.

The video also addressed Johnny Gargano, whose cervical strain prevents him from competing over Survivor Series weekend, with host Matt Camp claiming the former NXT Champion still isn't cleared to wrestle and there's no word on when he will be.

A particularly gruesome episode of NXT this week, then. Here's hoping that the performers are able to mount swift recoveries.
