Injury Update On Top Star Following WWE Elimination Chamber 2024

Is this top WWE Raw talent set for a spell on the sidelines?

Finn Balor

With this year's WWE Elimination Chamber now in the books, one injury concern many fans had coming out of that Premium Live Event was in regards to Finn Balor.

Following Balor and his Judgment Day cohort Damian Priest successfully retaining the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships against Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne, the Irishman could be seen holding this thumb, with that digit also bleeding.

For those wondering if Balor had suffered a significant injury, that thankfully does not appear to be the case.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio (via WrestlingNews.co), Bryan Alvarez noted:

"Then we had Finn Balor who, at the end of the match, holds up his hand and his thumb is bleeding like crazy. And man, he sold that thing big. And we weren't sure if he had broken his thumb or cut it open or whatever. But apparently, whatever it was, he's alright.“

So, whatever happened to the one-time WWE Universal Champion's thumb, he's said to be fine.

Of course, a notable part of Pete Dunne's in-ring work involves finger and thumb manipulation, and it may be that something either didn't go quite right when the Bruiserweight worked over Balor, or it could just be an excellent sell job by the Judgment Day man.
