Interesting Note On AEW Return Pitch Miro Turned Down

Here's how Tony Khan wanted to get Miro back on AEW TV. The wrestler said no!

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Miro turned down Tony Khan's big pitch to have him return at Full Gear in November 2022.

Tony's plan was to have Miro work a Battle Royal and go close to the wire vs. Hangman Page - 'The Redeemer' would've then tumbled over the top rope, thus giving Page the win. Miro said no to that, and Hangman got injured before plans for the match could be properly hatched anyway.

Khan later said after the pay-per-view that he was trying to get Miro back in the AEW mix, and wanted to do so ASAP. It's now late-March 2023 and the ex-WWE man still hasn't been spotted on company programming since working a six man tag (alongside Sting and Darby Allin vs. House Of Black) at All Out on 4 September.

It's not a good sign that he's been batting creative ideas away.

The former TNT Champion once looked like he'd become a huge part of AEW's future, but that hasn't been the case. Miro still has approx three years left on his current deal though, so things could change.
