Is This WWE Wrestler About To Undergo A Character Change?
Not winning a match for 11 months will get you thinking about your direction.
Nikki ASH has been inching ever so closer to finally ditching her superhero persona, and she might have taken the biggest step yet on WWE Raw Monday night.
After losing to a surprise opponent in the debuting Candice LeRae, Nikki could be seen sitting in the corner sobbing, having removed her mask. It's the first notable time she has taken her mask off on camera since first donning it.
In recent months, Nikki has partnered with Doudrop, who has gotten her to drop various aspects of her costume and persona. She stopped wearing a cape, opting instead to wear a leather jacket. She also has changed the color of her gear, moving away from yellow and blue to black and silver more recently.
Nikki has not won a main roster match since October 2021, when she and Rhea Ripley were still WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. It could be that she finally has had enough with losing and is willing to part with this persona for something different.

The former Nikki Cross first donned the cape, tights and mask in June 2021, changing her name to Nikki A.S.H., which stands for Almost a Super Hero. She promptly won the Money in the Bank ladder match, then cashed it in the following night to win the Raw Women's Championship.
However, her success would wane, as she lost the title at SummerSlam, won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship with Ripley, lost that and then turned heel. She's been on the wrong side of match decisions ever since.
