IYO SKY Captures Women's WWE Money In The Bank Briefcase

Genius of the Sky bests Damage CTRL stablemate and four others to win signature match.

IYO SKY is your new Ms. Money in the Bank.

The Genius of the Sky won the WWE signature match on Saturday after getting creative in preventing Becky Lynch and - in a twist - fellow Damage CTRL partner Bayley from climbing the ladder by handcuffing the two together through the rungs. Trish Stratus, Zoey Stark and Zelina Vega also were vying for briefcase.

For SKY, the win marks her first notable singles success on the main roster. She and Dakota Kai have held the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships twice. Many have had IYO pegged for a big run as a champion on the main roster, as she held the NXT Women's Championship for 10 months.

SKY handcuffing Bayley came on the heels of the Damage CTRL leader tipping over IYO's ladder earlier, preventing SKY from retrieving the briefcase. This likely will continue to escalate the friction we've started seeing with the stable, possibly finally causing the group to implode.

IYO is currently assigned to SmackDown, where off-and-on rival Asuka is WWE Women's Champion. A feud between the two of them could be really special.
