King was part of one of the most infamous moments of The Attitude Era. Sable and Jacqueline took part in a bikini contest, something Jerry would become accustomed to hosting over his time in WWE. And well, Sable took things to a whole new level. Years later, a catchphrase related to such a contest got Jerry over with the more mature section of the WWE Universe. There was a period of time where The King would fail to make his way through a match without making some sort of reference to a Diva and her breasts, otherwise known as Puppies. It was all quite perverse really by a man that was well into his 50s by the time the Attitude Era had past its peak. The WWE Universe picked up on this term as chants of 'we want puppies' could be heard in arenas all around the world. There's no doubt that Jerry made the catchphrase what it was back in the day. However, The King wasn't that man that coined the phrase, that was Road Dogg. The D-O-Double-G made reference to Debra's puppies in a promo on Raw. The former tag team champion made the stipulation that if he beat the late Owen Hart, then Debra would have to bare all. Road Dogg won the match and the future Mrs. Austin let the puppies out the kennel, so to speak. A craze was born.
