Shooting on 'The Snake' for shooting on Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels...

Jim Cornette has addressed comments made by WWE legend (and current AEW star) Jake Roberts that Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels were the worst World Champions in company history.

Speaking via his 'Drive-Thru' podcast, Cornette blasted Jake for claiming that two athletic workhorses like Bret and Shawn could be considered poor champs. Then, he cited Kevin Nash, The Ultimate Warrior and The Miz as far worse.

Jake had argued that neither man 'put money in the bank' when they held the gold. That didn't wash with Corny - he pointed out that business was in the toilet when Diesel held the belt, and said that Hart and Michaels at least entered remarkable performances inside the ring.

Cornette wondered if Roberts was perhaps being bitter because he never got the chance to be WWE World Champion. The outspoken critic also found it ludicrous that Jake would bash Bret and Shawn for their size when he was never the most muscular in his prime.

The motormouthed former manager and commentator then went on to ask where Roberts' resentment comes from. Specifically, he doesn't understand why Jake would bash Bret.
