Jim Johnston’s 20 Greatest WWE Creations

What’s a great Superstar without a great entrance theme?

A big part of a wrestler€™s image is their entrance. Whether it€™s high-energy rock music, or a dramatic funeral dirge, a Superstar€™s entrance theme matters a lot to how the fans perceive the wrestler associated with that music. Jim Johnston has been making WWE Superstars€™ entrance themes since the mid-1980s, and since then he has helped create legends out of Superstars. He is credited for creating some of the most memorable entrance themes in history, from guys at the bottom of the card, to the top stars that are now recognized as legends. Johnston carefully crafted each theme to make it unique for each Superstar. From adding certain sound bites at the beginning, to crafting an entirely unique sound for someone, Jim Johnston is quite possibly the biggest un-sung hero in WWF history. If it weren€™t for his alleged stage fright, he would€™ve gotten his well-deserved Hall of Fame induction a long time ago. These days, most of the WWE Superstars€™ entrances are composed and performed by either outside, third-party bands, or by the new entity CFO$. If you€™re wondering who composed all of these generic rock themes that seem to accompany this generation of wrestlers, look no further than these guys. Therefore, to celebrate the accomplishments of the legendary Jim Johnston, here is a list of his twenty greatest creations, from all the way back to Hulkamania, to the Ruthless Aggression era. Since things have changed a lot since then, it€™s better to look at the themes of years past that have made him famous.
