Jim Johnston’s 20 Greatest WWE Creations

3. Hulk Hogan - Real American

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guG9cVs3ms4 Hulk Hogan entered to several themes throughout his career, including €˜Eye of the Tiger€™ by Survivor in AWA and WWF. But it is this entrance theme, Real American, performed by Rick Derringer, which encapsulates the character of Hulk Hogan perfectly. The theme had everything that made Hulk Hogan a big name: a catchy tune, a woman singing in the background, and an air of wholesome patriotism that helped build Hogan into a household name. To this day, Hogan is recognized more with this theme than any other, including the theme song to the New World Order, of which he was an integral player. Even as he enters his 60s, he is still remembered fondly by many fans for being a role model for kids around the world, and this theme was a big part in cultivating that image. This is truly one of the most recognizable entrance themes of all time, and one of Jim Johnston's best creations.
