Jim Johnston’s 20 Greatest WWE Creations

17. Kurt Angle - Medal

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yQsPE7pzNo Kurt Angle€™s theme is simple yet effective. It€™s an instrumental that gives an air of Olympic accomplishment and skill, reflective of Angle€™s Olympic gold medal and unrivaled amateur skills. This theme doesn€™t belong to some angry, aggressive badass; it signifies the arrival of an intense, intelligent, and integrity-laden champion. What makes it especially memorable is the incredibly creative way fans got involved with his theme over the years. When Angle was feuding with Edge in 2002, Edge convinced the fans to chant €˜You Suck€™ along with his music. It soon became a signature part of Angle€™s entrance, and even became its own mini-storyline in 2005, when Angle asked then-RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff to censor the words €˜you suck€™ while on RAW. This is certainly one of Jim Johnston€™s greatest compositions: it encapsulates Kurt Angle€™s character perfectly.
