As the wrestling world celebrated the legendary career of John Cena at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event last night, that SNME featured a surprise appearance from Joe Hendry. Nowadays a WWE-contracted talent following his departure from TNA, Hendry appeared in a segment featuring the Miz and R-Truth.

With the focus having cut to Joe Tessitore and Stephanie McMahon in the Okerlund position, Stephanie was cut off mid-sentence by an irate Miz standing in the middle of the ring. The former two-time WWE Champion ranted about how big a role he had in John Cena's career, once again pointing to the pair's WrestleMania 27 main event, before he was then interrupted by R-Truth.

Playing off Miz switching 'balls' on SmackDown several weeks ago in order to earn himself a second shot in The Last Time Is Now Tournament, R-Truth said how he'd discovered whose 'balls' Miz had switched out for his own. As Miz opened the ball in question, a piece of paper read "Joe Hendry". And when Miz said that name, Joe Hendry of course appeared on the ring apron, complete with his ever-popular entrance theme.

What followed was an impromptu match of sorts, with Hendy laying out Miz with the Standing Ovation, and R-Truth counting the 1-2-3, before the two babyfaces posed for the Washington crowd.

A former TNA World Champion, Joe Hendry had been appearing semi-regularly for the NXT brand since last summer, and reports emerged last month that the hugely charismatic Scot had now formally signed with the market leader.
