Joe Hendry has revealed that WWE didn't tell him their concrete plans for a popular NXT debut until the very last minute. In fact, the TNA star didn't know whether he'd be showing up on WWE's third brand as late as Monday night, but things worked out in the end.

Hendry told Inside The Ropes that he "had two flights booked"; "one if it was happening and one if it wasn’t happening". Even so, the breakout sensation didn't know for certain whether or not he'd actually be used. It took WWE a minute to make up their minds and iron things out.

Joe says he "literally went straight from doing Chris Van Vliet’s podcast to the airport and straight to Orlando". It was a whirlwind experience, but he's "extremely grateful" to everybody for making him feel "so at home". According to Hendry, everyone behind the scenes he bumped into was "so open to collaborating".

He was proud to promote TNA, and must've been personally chuffed to tick off a personal ambition too. This is just the start. Huge numbers on socials and YouTube for his debut segment proves there's a big audience that believes in Joe Hendry.
