8. "Don't F**k With John Cena - I'm a Bad, Bad Man"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DTWGmcEY4Q Seizing on John Cena's burgeoning 2003 / 2004 popularity, WWE strategised a wide ranging commercial plan to make him an all encompassing media superstar. They fully invested in Cena as the franchise brand, making him champion for the first time in 2005, lining up music and film projects to coincide with this. Released in May 2005, Cena's first music single was titled 'Bad Bad Man'. Now bear in mind that Cena was a character marketed toward younger children, what did the kids hear after their parents bought the CD and popped it in the player? "Don't f**k with John Cena - I'm a bad, bad man." That's right, the 'family friendly' WWE were selling the F word to kids. That chorus along with other tracks on the album was notable for its swearing. Given that Cena was being sold to younger fans and would go on to be even more aggressively marketed as cleaner than clean, this is definitely one song WWE don't want to be replaying. You might even say that his whole 'musical career' was one long embarrassment, a shameless business opportunity.
