John Cena has just been announced as part of the cast for Kingsman director Matthew Vaughn's new film, Argylle, joining the likes of Henry Cavill, Samuel L. Jackson, and Bryan Cranston, Variety's K.J. Yossman reports.

This is relevant to the 16-time World Champion's pro wrestling career as filming commences in Europe this August, which could mean a potential clash with WWE SummerSlam 2021.

It's entirely possible that Cena won't have a scheduling conflict. The precise dates haven't been confirmed, production could conceivably begin after SummerSlam (21 August), and there's no guarantee that Cena would be needed from day one either. Nonetheless, this could potentially cause issues with his rumoured WWE comeback.

The 44-year-old has been linked to a blockbuster match with Universal Champion Roman Reigns in Las Vegas. Nothing has been confirmed yet, though Cena recently commented that he was "unsure" of when, exactly, he'd return to WWE, though it is definitely going to happen at some point.

If it were to happen, Cena vs. Reigns would be amongst the biggest matches on the SummerSlam card. WWE is reportedly looking to load what should be its highest-attended show of the year up in order to create a WrestleMania-like spectacle.
