People Power! - Whilst John Laurinaitis awkward microphone work and misguided sense of popularity were occasionally entertaining, by June 2012 the fans had grown truly tired of his presence on TV, and it was time for him to go. After Laurinaitis survived many previous close shaves with almost getting the chop, the stage was finally set at Over The Limit John Cena vs. John Laurinaitis and if Laurinaitus loses, he would be fired on the spot. After Cena tormented him with trash cans, water bottles and fire extinguishers, Laurinaitis would try to escape the arena, only for Big Show (previously fired by Laurinaitis) to drag him back to the ring to receive his final comeuppance. However, once in the ring, Big Show would turn heel for what feels like the 327th time in his career and hit Cena with a K.O. punch. A full 1 minute 19 seconds later, Laurinaitis would cover Cena and get the three count. Fans left bewildered as to why Cena couldnt kick out after so long, and would have to wait a whole month before Laurinaitis would finally meet his end.
