Understandably, Boston fans were eagerly anticipating the return of the former 'Doctor of Thuganomics' on the post-Super Showdown episode of the blue show and this excitement clearly manifested itself in a sold out TD Garden.

Returning to WWE in his hometown was always going to produce a must-see show for the blue brand and the promise of seeing the new Universal Champion Goldberg set up his WrestleMania opponent - which just so happened to be Roman Reigns - along with the 'The Fiend' being rumoured to spoil Cena's party - which proved to be true - must have both contributed to the high ticket sales, too.

Whether SmackDown can maintain this momentum in the coming weeks, with the promise of a few more Cena/Goldberg appearances, is anyone's guess. What isn't up for debate is the fact that Cena is still an undoubted draw for the company and his appearance produced one of the loudest crowd reactions of 2020.

What does 'The Fiend' have in store for the former WWE Champion now that their match at 'Mania 36 has been confirmed?
