Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's annual tournament The Battle of Los Angeles just got more interesting. Wrestling legend Jushin Thunder Liger has been announced as one of the 24 entrants, marking his first time as a competitor at the event.

Every name has now been announced, with wrestlers from TNA, Lucha Underground and Ring of Honor all competing. Past winners of the tournament have gone on to achieve great success like Sami Zayn, Ricochet, Davey Richards and Adam Cole. It's an increasingly popular three day indie tournament (September 2nd, 3rd and 4th this year) featuring future stars of the business gathering for superiority.

The hype for the tournament's 12th edition got off to a great start with the announcement of Cody Rhode's involvement, and Liger is a solid name to close things out.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
